I had the opportunity to play a classic Donald Ross course today, thanks to the Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents’ Association and their turfgrass fundraiser.

White Bear Yacht Club was everything I had hoped for (and more). The staff was friendly, the course conditions were perfect and the greens were lightning fast. This is a great traditional course with rolling hills, uneven lies, mature trees, difficult greens with incredible undulations, unique holes and 119 years of history.

Top five Minnesota course for me–perhaps a top two…
