Heritage Links Course Update

Our team for Monday’s John Massetti Charity Golf Tournament at Crystal Lake decided to get in some practice holes at Heritage Links in Lakeville yesterday evening. The twilight walking rate is only $25 and we dodged raindrops until darkness hit after 14-1/2 holes.

I hadn’t been to Heritage Links in about three years and was looking for an inexpensive twilight rate in the south metro. The 6,672-yard course isn’t one of my favorite Joel Goldstrand designs, as there are too many blind shots and hidden hazards for my taste. There are also several holes that require target golf tee shots to the 150-yard mark (like #8 and #10).

Course condition was good for the price, however, and playing 14 holes is always more fun than hitting balls at the driving range. Bring on the tournament!
