I’d also hazard a guess that the last open to the public, ticketed event at First Avenue was March 3, 1986 – thirty years ago
Paisley Park (1987) and Glam Slam (1989-1997) basically took over for non-tour events in Minnesota
So it looks like the last First Avenue appearance was an after show following a Target Center gig on July 8, 2007
