Tonight my oldest daughter and I went to the last Wild Unplugged player appearance, featuring Keith Carney and Wes Walz at Major’s Sports Bar in Bloomington. This was the last one of the year and, as usual, was very crowded.
We elected to get a table after the Q&A and wait for the line to die down. It never really did and we were lucky to get our autographs before the cutoff. I talked with host Kevin Falness after the broadcast and thanked him for the wonderful job he does at these events and on the Pondcasts. We chatted for about five minutes about different things–including how great all of the players have been to my daughter at these player appearances. He said the whole locker room is full of truly nice guys.
We don’t have any more game tickets right now, but hope to get one or two playoff games from my relatives. Go Wild!Originally published by DK on March 19, 2007 at 9:47 pm
