Meadowbrook Golf Course in Hopkins may have a more famous neighbor next door (Edina’s Interlachen Country Club is just beyond the fence behind the clubhouse), but it holds it’s own against the other Minneapolis city-owned courses.
With multiple blind tee shots with water and sharp drop-offs on the shorter par 3s, this course is perhaps the most challenging among those city courses as well.
The day we visited, the women’s league was having a shotgun tournament later in the morning that we weren’t told about when making reservations. The pro shop managed to get our round in around them, though, without us getting in the way.
Get your rounds in at Meadowbrook this year–it will likely be used as a parking lot for the Women’s U.S. Open next year at Interlachen…Originally published by DK on July 27, 2007 at 9:02 pm
