The 7th Annual Hawgs for Dogs John Massetti Memorial Golf Tournament was held this week at Crystal Lake Golf Club in Lakeville. Proceeds from the event benefit the Guide Dogs of America.

The weather was nice and the course was in good condition for the scramble format event. Our team played well (considering our handicaps and no purchased mulligans) and we made it to the last hole before suffering a bogey. Our 69 (-2) total was in the middle of the pack, while the winning teams tied at 60 (-11).

The food at the banquet was very good, but the pace of the program was a little relaxed (like most charity events seem to do). It’s a fun event, though–be sure to watch for the 2008 tournament details next year and help support charity golf.
