Two changes are in store for this year’s state high school golf tournaments. First, the Minnesota State High School League is expanding from two to three classes (AAA, AA and A). I’m not sure what factors drove that decision, but it will make it a little more challenging for us to cover the tournaments.
Second, the uncertainty surrounding the bankruptcy sale of long-time class A host site Izaty’s forced a venue change (and created the need for another venue for the new class). The large schools will remain at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids (AAA), while class AA will play at the Ridges of Sand Creek in Jordan and class A will play at Pebble Creek in Becker.
Here are the dates:
- Class AAA, June 3 & 4, 2008, Bunker Hills, Coon Rapids
- Class AA, June 5 & 6, 2008, The Ridges of Sand Creek, Jordan
- Class A, June 4 & 5, 2008, Pebble Creek, Becker
Golfing in Minnesota is planning to be at each tournament on the final day with full coverage.Originally published by DK on May 6, 2008 at 10:42 pm
