The event will start with a brief clinic followed by tips and instruction from members of the Gopher men’s and women’s golf teams, coaches, and Golf Institute instructors. Kids should bring their own clubs; a limited number of clubs will be available for use free of charge during the clinic.
There will be free food, drinks, contests, and prizes. Autographs and pictures with student-athletes and Goldy Gopher will also be available.
“Golf with Goldy” seeks to introduce kids in the Twin Cities to the game of golf, the Les Bolstad University Golf Course, and the men’s and women’s Golden Gopher golf programs.
To sign up for “Golf with Goldy,” please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the name, age, and hometown of the child attending. The event is free of charge and open to children 18 and under. Please call 612-625-5863 with questions.
I took my kids last year and they had a great time. Highly recommended.Originally published by DK on May 8, 2008 at 9:26 pm
