We almost made it though 18 holes at Baker National in Medina today before the rain hit. The skies opened on the 16th hole, though, and it poured for about 20 minutes.
The course was in nice condition before the rain and there was one change from the last time we played there–new stone tee markers with yardages and basic hole layouts. The 18-hole walking rate today (with a medium basket of range balls) was $40 including tax.
The white tees at Baker play to 6,294 yards, with a rating of 71.8 and a slope of 131. I’ve occasionally played well there, but today I realized that your score can balloon quickly if you are having trouble hitting the ball straight. I think the Baker Park Reserve woods and marshland have at least eight more of my golf balls…
