I was just going through some of my trinkets from the recent U.S. Women’s Open and noticed this blue bag that the USGA was handing out to USGA members in one of the entry tents. I thought this was a nice gesture, but today I read the tag that was attached:

Due to security measures this bag has been classified as a prohibited item and may not be brought with you upon re-admission to the 2008 U.S. Open Championship.

Wow, is that dumb. At least it was free…
