Today we visited Legends Club in Prior Lake. This was my first visit there this year and the course is maturing nicely. We played the 6,702-yard black tees, which play to a rating of 72.6 and a slope of 139.
As I’ve commented on before, the par threes at this course are special. The thirteenth hole gets the spotlight, with the long carry over water and the wood bridge, but the other three are great too. The seventeenth was playing 184 yards into the wind today and I needed a three wood to carry the water and rock wall to get pin high.
The service in the pro shop and on-course was superb and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Thanks to my guests Doug and Scott for a wonderful day.Originally published by DK on August 20, 2008 at 11:10 pm
