Another nice Delta feature


I have to say, I’ve been pretty impressed with Delta lately – the free upgrade to first class on last trip, the Delta iPhone app, improved airport kiosks, good on time performance, friendly flight attendants and good service.

Today I used the inflight wireless service from Gogo during my flight to San Diego. I didn’t really need to be online, so I skipped the $12.95 day pass. The service still allows you to connect, however, and have free access to a limited set of services and web sites.

You can only read so many People magazine stories, Amazon product reviews and Stubhub ticket listings, but I found the live inflight tracker page (displayed above) to be pretty cool. Airspeed, altitude, time remaining and map position reminds me of the panels they used to have on the Concorde…
