The Caterpillar Club

My uncle found a Caterpillar Club membership card for my grandfather while going through items at his house this week. I had never heard of this before, but it’s rather fascinating. From the Wikipedia page:

The Caterpillar Club is an informal association of people who have successfully used a parachute to bail out of a disabled aircraft. After authentication by the parachute maker, applicants receive a membership certificate and a distinctive lapel pin.

Love the motto too: “Life depends on a silken thread”
