Quick little 5K hike around Afton State Park on a warm Minnesota spring day (78F)

Mississippi River Trail in Newport, Inver Grove Heights and South St. Paul – water levels manageable and Bob is back
It was 32F with a little snow and wind at the beginning of our round today @ Gross National in Minneapolis – shot an 82 from the combo tees (with a “two-putt-max” rule in effect due to the rough and shaggy greens)
Spring and fall are kinda similar, but one leads to summer renewal and the other to a bleak frozen hellscape
Multiple days of sun and 80s, but we waited until it was cold and rainy to kick off the new golf season – very rusty 86 from the “Bluff” tees
It felt good to be out again (although my aerobic capacity needs to get better). Colby Lake still with a lot of ice, but melting fast
Chased the sun around the stadium, wore my snow pants plus three layers (39F), solid mac & cheese dog, lots of sun and wind, debut of Mud Grant, costly errors + bad relief pitching = Saints lose to the Iowa Cubs, 12-11 @ CHS Field
Could never live here, but it’s sunny and 76F and the tropical scents are magical after a long Minnesota winter
