I understand what you’re saying, and your comments are valuable, but I’m gonna ignore your advice.

Left the screen door open on the balcony to hear the rain and now there are loons calling from Lake Vermilion – ahh

A Northland Update

Posted June 19, 2012

Bits and pieces:

  • My new hire started yesterday at work, so my dream team of tech professionals is now in place.
  • The new fortunebay.com site finally launched last week. Happy it’s out there, but still a lot of fine-tuning and additional functionality to add in the coming weeks and months.
  • My golf handicap is trending in the wrong direction (up a full stroke this update), but our golf GM said he’d help me out once a week to get better.
  • The new Ashworth golf shoes are great – most comfortable golf shoes I’ve ever owned.
  • I’ve been gaining weight lately, hitting a four year high this week. More on that later.
  • I apparently did my state taxes wrong and got an automated audit letter saying I owe an additional $184 before August. Reviewing forms this week…
  • Started the loan application process to get a new car today. Would like another MINI, but will probably be “practical” and get a Honda Fit.
  • Meeting with a realtor on Friday to discuss options for our underwater suburban home.
  • Caught my first real cold of the year this week and felt terrible all day. Yuck.
  • Haven’t run much since Fargo, but I made an appointment to see a sports doctor next week to review my knee, heels, elbow and bum.
  • This weekend: a wedding and a birthday.
