I took fifteen speed pills, and I got into a contest with Liza Minnelli over who could roar most like a jaguar. She simply sounded like a stupid lion.

It’s fun to charter an accountant, and sail the wide accountancy…
Don’t really have much to write regarding this show that I haven’t already written about the many other times we have seen Robert Cray: his blues guitar is amazing and I could listen to Jim Pugh play the Hammond organ all day. Les Falconer on drums and Richard Cousins on bass round out the group (and were very good too).
This was probably the hottest show I’ve seen at the zoo (and the first time I’ve really had any bug problems). The seats and rows seemed extra close together – probably because I didn’t want anyone near me as I sat sweating profusely. It was nice to run in to Shaun Irwin again at a show (he was at Alabama Shakes) and I was envious of his third row center seats.
Don’t have access to a set list (Chris Riemenschneider was off in Canada covering the Replacements), but it seemed like a nice mix of old and new songs, with the always excellent Time Makes Two closing out the encore with that hypnotizing drum hook.
Up next: Macklemore Saturday night at the State Fair Grandstand.
I still love you Tower Cafe, but today’s service was not stellar
