First MSHSL football semifinal in the new building about to begin (9-man)
Very happy for the entire team @MuccisItalian – well deserved recognition for what you are doing in my hometown
Fun night with Mr. Miller at Annie’s Parlour, followed by a Gophers basketball win at the Barn 🍔🏀
I think people were using this morning’s commute to practice their winter stop-and-go driving skills
Finally finished Treme – such a great cast and soundtrack
Imagine what social media would be like if people could post anonymously
Digging into the backlog of concert posts, here’s one from a show way back in January (1/30/2016, to be exact). I was really excited to see the reunited Babes in Toyland at First Avenue, especially after hearing great things about their 2015 Rock the Garden gig. Kat Bjelland and Lori Barbero didn’t disappoint, bringing the fierceness that made them a favorite of Beavis and Butthead. New bass player Clara Salyer fit in just fine and opener Kitten Forever set the tone early, jumping between roles in classic girl punk style. Read more in this blog post from Twin Cities Media, which also provided a set list.
One side note – we were supposed to see Babes again as part of a Lowertown Line taping on October 20th, but they cancelled just a few days before (Bruise Violet took their place and kicked ass). More pics and the set list after the jump.
Setting permissions on a EMC VNX CIFS share shouldn’t be this difficult
RIP Harman/Kardon
Gotta take advantage of 60F and sunny in November – ran 15 slow miles around Eagan, Lebanon Hills and Apple Valley
Looks like it’s safe to go finish my chores and head outside
Not sure I understand the skyway discussion – aren’t a lot of the businesses on the second floor now?
“F, I guess”
Headache 95% gone today, so walked 18 holes at Edinburgh USA and shot an 85 from the whites
Ten hours of sleep and the headache has finally started to break
And the battle’s just begun. There’s many lost, but tell me who has won? The trench is dug within our hearts. And mothers, children, brothers, sisters, torn apart…
