I linked to the “Make Something Wonderful” ebook published by the Steve Jobs Archive yesterday and just finished reading it today. I posted on Mastodon about Steve having a Lee Oskar harmonica, but here are a few other brief thoughts:
- Kinda forgot I was at the infamous Bill Gates keynote at MacWorld Boston 1997 – would’ve been wild if I was in that old video crowd shot.
- Also forgot how big a role he played at Pixar (and that he became Disney’s largest shareholder).
- Love the stack of Bob Dylan CDs (and the references to the Beatles).
- So many great quotes and leadership tips – he really had a huge impact on my working life (and technology beliefs).
- “Life is short; don’t waste it. Tell the truth. Technology should enhance human creativity. Process matters. Beauty matters. Details matter.”
- The Think Different “crazy ones” ad copy still gives me the chills.
Just a lovely production by Ive’s design firm LoveFrom – well worth the read.
You and I have memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead…
Whoa, they have four dates booked with Air Supply (two in May and two in September) *AND* they have a 24/7 Fuddruckers (!)
Schrader valves are the old “traditional” style, while Presta valves are the newer, thinner ones. Thought I needed these $6 adapters, but turns out my fancy bike pump works with both, as long as you loosen the Presta valve core first. Looking forward to riding in the warm weather this week…
