I’m pretty excited for the start of the Wild season tonight. My aunt and uncle still have their season tickets, so I’m hoping to get to a few games this year. It will be nice to have a full regular season again and see what Coach Yeo can do with these guys in the last year of his coaching contract.

There probably won’t be a lot of hockey posts here this year, as you can read everything you need to know about the Wild from the always excellent Mike Russo at the Star Tribune.

I will say I’m very happy about the new conference and division alignment (fewer late nights) and the hybrid icing decision (finally). As for the team, I hope Granlund has a breakout year and that Zucker is ready to jump in when someone gets hurt. I’m somewhat worried about the goaltending situation and will miss Clutterbuck, Cullen and Butch. Neutral on Matt Cooke at this point.
