Day One at the Tapemark Complete


It didn’t rain (much), but the winds gusted to nearly 40 miles per hour on the first day on the 37th Annual Tapemark Charity Pro-Am at Southview Country Club in West Saint Paul.

In the team competition, professional Chris Winkel led the team of lead sponsor Shaun Irwin, Jim Mischke and Joel Johnson to a -20 net two best ball total.

In the pro tournament, Southview assistant professional Pete LaCoursiere shot an early morning 31-34-65 (-6) that included six birdies in the first seven holes. Jeff Sorenson of Columbia shot 33-34-67 (-4) and John Carlson of Wayzata is in third place with a 36-32-68 (-3).
