Photoshop CS6 on the Dream Machine

Posted Tuesday, March 27th, 2012 06:30 pm GMT -6 in Technology

On a lark, I decided to run the Photoshop CS6 beta installer on my 13-inch MacBook Air, despite it not having a dedicated hardware graphics card (although it appears that requirement has been removed from the minimum system requirements section). Chewed up a bunch of space on the SSD, but the new beast installed and launched fine.

I need to read up on the new features (this Verge story does a nice job), as some of the things have me totally confused already (WTF crop tool). But overall I’m just happy that Adobe is doing public betas again with their expensive flagship product – bravo!

I still haven’t really put it through the paces, but it seems to be at least as responsive as CS5 so far…
