I’ve always been a strong supporter of using golf to raise money for deserving charities. I’ve volunteered web development services to the Tapemark Charity Pro-Am events for many years and have always made an effort to promote charity golf events via my various online golf web sites.

I’d like to continue that effort here by hosting a database of charity events. If you have an event coming up this year, please contact me with all of the relevant information (date, course, cost, benefitting charities, contact information and event logo) and I’ll add your listing to the database.

There are literally thousands of photos of Minnesota golf in the 7MM online galleries. Take some time and browse for your favorite courses or revisit some of the major tournaments held in the state the past several years. I’m usually happy to allow personal, non-commercial use of any of them, but please contact me first if you want to publish them publicly (or for profit).

Golf posts from the previous Golfing in Minnesota site (golfing.mn) have been consolidated on 7 Minute Miles under the golf category. New golf related posts will continue to be published here as well, which can also be subscribed to via our golf RSS feed.

Greg Peterson was the golf writer for the Rochester Post-Bulletin for many years. Many of his past columns are re-published here with permission. Greg is a great writer, player and all-around good guy. I hope you enjoy reading this archive of his fun golf stories.
